Under floor Heating

Floor Coverings

Embedded in Screed

Flexible Fastflo® being installed into clipping track ready for mixed screed

screed.jpg
The heating tube is simply clipped to the standard insulation layer before the screed is poured. If the floor insulation meets the building regulation requirement, no additional insulation is needed. For mixed screeds, Nu-Heat supplies Cliptrack-10™ or Cliptrack-14™ for easy installation and accurate control of the tube spacing.

For use with liquid self-levelling screed, we supply clipping panels to cover the entire floor. These may optionally be used for mixed screeds.

In Suspended Timber

Flexible Fastflo® is easy to install from under a suspended timber floor.

The flexibility of Nu-Heat's Fastflo-10™ tubing allows installation in suspended timber floors from below, after the decking has been laid. The tubing is fed through pre-notched or battened joists and clipped to the underside of the decking. The unique Nu-Heat Fastrack clip allows the system to be fixed to the floor with a minimum of effort.

Standard insulation, purchased locally, with a reflective foil layer, supplied by Nu-Heat, is then inserted between the joists.

This method is particularly valuable for timber-frame houses, where floor decks can be laid prior to the installation of the underfloor heating system. But it may be beneficially used for any timber floor where there is access. In all cases it provides a safer environment compared with working over exposed joists.
